LCQG MAR 2024 NEWSLETTER – FNL
During program, Cherilyn showed a very special quilt… a quilt top that was created many many years ago that was made from silk patches with printed images on them. These small patches vary in size from 2 to 6 inches. These patches came from tobacco packets of the day. These tobacco packets may have been for cigarettes or cigar wrappings. The maker of this quilt top used an embroidered feather stitch to embellish the patches to each other.
