Meeting of January 28, 2023 in the afternoon:
A motion was made to try and get a government grant to help with the cost of the quilt show. Val Beasley made the motion and seconded by Judy Barnett. Carried
Sue Secretan reminded people to pickup their items that don’t sell from the sales table at the end of the night.
Committee reports:
Lynn Gibson is happy to accept community quilts as she was down to 2.
Val Beasley talked about the Terry Roland Classes that need to be filled by end of February.
Need more to sign up for the Kim Caskey class or will be cancelled. Wallis Allen’s class is a go.
Parkbridge Sew Days is the 3rd Monday of the month.
Barb asked that people who have donations and baskets to bring them to the April meeting. These are going to be our baskets that we sell tickets on at the quilt show.
If you haven’t got a book of ticket for the quilt raffle, please get one from Bev as we need to sell lots of tickets.
Bonnie Boulton talked about a retreat in Pincher Creek. She has booked dates for a spring and fall retreat at CASA
There were 55 members at the meeting and 4 guests.
Connie Chaplin talked about 10 year’s anniversary for Casa and maybe selling raffle tickets there.
Judy Gilmore wants everyone to make sure they sign the book when taking supplies for community quilts.

A short video on a square in a square
There are 29 people signed up for BOM. Judy started a group call Judy’s BOM club on facebook so the people can post pictures and show what they have done so far. Lots brought their blocks to show how they are doing. I am so thrilled to see that they are being creative with this project. Some are changing things up a little bit.
Judy challenged everyone to make a pincushion using something recycled. Bring it to guild in March in a bag and we will draw names. Everyone who brings one will take home one. Pictures were shown of ideas.
